RENEWAL
Once a Domain Name has expired, it will be automatically renewed for 1 year and go to into Auto-renew Grace Period, where you can renew this Domain Name at normal costs. This Auto-renew Grace Period would be for 30 days. This Domain Name will be DELETED from your account on or after these 30 days.
Within 30 days the registrant has to decide to keep the domain or not. The registrant must act IMMEDIATELY if he or she wants to keep the name.
Auto-renew Grace Period (AGP)
Whenever a particular Domain Name is not renewed till the expiry date, it would slip into the Auto-renew Grace Period.
This period is of 30 days, during this period any website and mails associated with the Domain Name would become non-functional. Within these 30 days the registrant has to decide to keep the domain or not. If after 30 days no delete notification has been received by Registrant, the registrant will be credited for the renew amount. Otherwise the domain will be delete and will go into the Redemption Grace Period.
After you have Renewed the Domain Name, it would take around 24-48 hours for DNS propagation to complete World-wide and the actual website to start resolving properly and to start receiving mails.
Redemption Grace Period (RGP)
The Redemption Grace Period is a 20 day period that begins after a registrar requests that the registry delete a domain name. The reason for the introduction of the RGP process is to provide additional time to catch erroneous deletions before the name is made available for re-registration.
Redeeming a Domain Name is costly at US$100 and time consuming. The Redemption Period is of 20 days after the Domain Name is deleted and during this period only the current Registrar of the Domain Name can Redeem the Domain Name.
Redemption Hold Period (RHP)
Following the deletion of a name by the registrar or registrant, if this registrar does not request that the name be restored during the 20-day RGP, then the name enters a Redemption Hold Period, or RHP. RHP lasts for five (5) days, and during this time the name is locked. After five (5) days, the name will become available for re-registration. Once the name enters RHP, the prior registrant cannot renew it.
In making payment, the Registrant agrees to the terms and conditions of the current MN Domain Registry Policy.
